A production-grade movement platform for a men's community — built as a custom WordPress ecosystem with over 35 plugins, a custom multifunctional theme, member onboarding, community activity, marketplace flows, sponsored ads, notifications, opportunities, events, support tools and engagement systems.

Built as a movement operating system, not a brochure website.

Men on the Move needed more than a beautiful public site. The organization needed a single digital home where members could register, interact, access updates, discover opportunities, buy and sell through the community, follow programmes, receive notifications and stay connected to the movement.

The final product is a mobile-first WordPress platform designed around retention and operations. It brings together community, content, marketplace, events, notifications and admin workflows in one branded experience.

Engineering challenge

Turning scattered community tools into one cohesive product.

Before a platform like this, a men's movement would usually depend on WhatsApp groups, manual announcements, separate forms, disconnected event pages, external marketplaces and scattered content updates. That creates weak engagement and makes administration difficult.

The build was approached as a modular WordPress ecosystem. Each major feature was separated into its own plugin/module while sharing the same design system, user roles, navigation, notifications and admin logic. This makes the platform easier to extend without breaking existing member journeys.

The platform was not built as one heavy block of code. It was broken into purpose-specific components so community, marketplace, football, opportunities, notifications, support and content systems can be improved separately.
